School of the Arts April 7 in a visit sponsored by Discovery House and the American Legion in Tryon. George Scofield, Commander of Memorial Post 250, chartered a bus and made all arrange ments for the day that started a 9 in the morning and got us all home shortly after midnight. Punctuated by lunch at Mayberry’s and dinner at Dar rvl's the visit started at the brand new Design and Produc tion Studio, where Scofields son Georgi, is a sludonl and proved a knowledgeable and patient guide; a friendly fellow like his father. Every student we saw was no only capable but obviously well on the way toward the sionalism that is the goal in all the training that goes on in th school, which encompasses certain years of both higl school and college. A beautiful Music Department performance in Crawford Hall included voice and violin stu dents and a quintet composed ol flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn.
